The Thompson House Museum in Hudson is hosting a juried art show this summer, from June 6 through July 3, at the Thompson House Museum Visitor's Center. Local artists may submit up to three entries of original work (three total entries) by May 15.
Open division includes oil/acrylic, photography, watercolors and sculpture. The junior division (age 17 and under) has two divisions, photography and artwork.There is an entry fee of $10 per entry, and $5 for junior entries.
First through third place may be awarded in each division, depending upon number of entries. All first place art will be eligible for "Best of Show" award. All artwork is eligible for a "Juror’s Award of Merit.""Best of Show" will be awarded with $100. There will be a "Juror’s Award of Merit" with a $50 prize.
The Thompson House Art Show is supported by the Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs Minigrant Program, administered by the Arts and Cultural Alliance of Jackson County.
