The Civil War—Gettysburg

Both historians attended the 150th anniversary events at Gettysburg this summer. The program will cover the battles at Gettysburg with emphasis on cavalry actions. You will not want to miss their vivid description of the epic Civil War battle.
The program is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.
Culinary Celebration to recognize students, Red Cross for work on museum exhibit
Jackson College @ LISD TECH will host a Lenawee County Culinary Celebration from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 26 at the LISD TECH Center.
This dinner will recognize Professor Diana Agy’s JC class and the local chapter of the American Red Cross for their work on the Lenawee County Historical Museum’s Red Cross exhibit. This summer, Agy’s ENG 090 composition students spent many hours researching the history of the Red Cross and collecting oral histories associated with the Adrian Red Cross chapter, which were included as part of the exhibit. The finished product included bound booklets with the oral histories, given to both the Adrian County Library and the Lenawee Museum, and portions of the interviews and photos were on display at the Lenawee County Historical Museum.
Dinner will be provided by the JC Culinary Arts program students, for a minimum donation of $3. Menu for the evening includes a number of Thanksgiving favorites,
Following dinner there will be a short program "Museum...I Didn't Know There WAS a Museum.” Proceeds from that Celebration will go to the Lenawee County Historical Museum. Reservations are required and can be made by calling the museum at 517.265.6071 or Tom Tipton at 517.265.8860.
